The Technology/Research and Development track is chaired by USDA Under Secretary for Research, Education, and Economics Dr. Gale Buchanan.

This track of the conference will focus on the technology, research, and development needed in each of the renewable energy sectors. Issues discussed will include the role of public and private research, targeted research and development needs, and technological innovations that could impact the renewable energy industry. Participants will consider how to enable the identification and rapid introduction of the most effective technologies and policies to encourage continued innovations.
